Socioeconomic Implications of Marital Unions Between Economists: A Comprehensive Analysis
Abstract
This research examines the socio-economic impacts of marriages of economists in decision-making and finance, wealth acquisition, work-life balance, and economic conflicts. The approach used was statistical where the data was from 100 participants, categorized into 50 couples of economists. The findings illustrate that economics couples have highly benefited in the management of finances, as 88% were in mutual agreement on the financial planning while 84% also realized significant wealth acquisition. However, 54% of the couples said they experienced conflict about work-life balance. Economic conflicts, although reported by 22% of the sample, were mostly accommodated by communication and compromise. Our findings highlight the benefits of shared economic knowledge in marriage, leading to greater overall financial success and security
